The first weekend in May we headed over to Utah to visit with family. We had a niece's baptism with a lunch afterward so it made it easy to visit with all the family. Brien wanted to do something fun while we were in town, so we visited the Hogle Zoo. Brien loves the zoo and was excited to share it with Zarina. We also had grandpa Park and a niece with us who is only a few months older than Z. The adults had fun, but the girls were not very impressed with the Zoo. Brien was a little disappointed by Z's lack of interest. Her favorite spot was a bridge over a the fast moving stream. To make matters worse, I don't think any of the pictures turned out very well.
It was hard to get this small smile out of her.

Getting Z to look interested in the giraffes.

Not happy sitting on the tigers.

I guess 18 months is too young to really enjoy the zoo. On the up side we did find a cute toddler-sized ball cap for Z.

I'm totally with Zarina on this one. I do not enjoy zoos. Well, when a giant parrot pooped on my sister in San Diego, that was fun.
I love Sea World, but the animals there do tricks, so they don't seem as unhappy with their surroundings.
I'm glad the adults had an enjoyable time, though.
