I thought of a quirky blog title because I have so many thoughts, but none of them are long enough to warrant their own post.
1) We un-celebrated our wedding anniversary yesterday. We actually considered Friday night our anniversary dinner (neither of us wanted to cook and we don't eat cereal for dinner like Lacey's family) so we ordered out some Chinese and watched Becoming Jane. (It was pretty good. It's sad that she narrowly missed out on love so early in life. I'd give the movie a solid B.)
On Monday, the actual anniversary, I told Brien "happy anniversary" as he was getting ready for work, but he must not have heard me (in my sleepy state I thought he responded, but I guess not), because he went the whole day without remembering. Baby Z was fussy, so the little surprises I had in store for him didn't happen. I'll admit that I was happy that he hadn't bought me flowers because we are trying to cut back the spending, but I thought it was on purpose, not due to forgetfulness. When Brien came home from work we went for separate walks because it was too cold for the baby to be out with us. Only as he was cooking us dinner was he reminded of the day because Cidnee called to wish us a happy anniversary. (Thank you Cid.)
So obviously it went both ways. Brien forgot, but I wasn't able to do anything to remind him. He did make be breakfast this morning, I wonder if it was out of guilt.
2) Brien is going to a training in New Mexico, so I am trying to make him a little something to take along. (I will remain vague because he reads the blog.)
3) When you have a cute baby with you people don't care that you "decided to just stop by."
4) I'm waiting for the overpriced birth certificate I had to order online because, for whatever reason, Zarina's Social Security card application was lost. Now I will get to spend 4 hours at the SS office when I go to LV in a few weeks. The good thing is I will be able to finish filing our taxes.
5) I like coupons.com. Our little town paper doesn't have coupons, so because of web sites like this I am able to save a least a little bit of money on things that I am buying anyways at the grocery store.
Please feel free to share your random thoughts with me.

What is so wrong with cereal for dinner?
If it helps we have either hot cereal, like oatmeal and I mean the real stuff not the instant, and then cold cereal for dinner, or vise versa.
We're just lazy and also trying to cut back on expenses.
My application for a SS # for Hallie that you fill out in the hospital wasn't ever received either. I had to go down to the SS office as well. Then when I got to the window after waiting forever, I was informed that a birth certificate isn't good enough proof to show who she is, but that her immunization record is. WHAT?! So I had to leave and go back the next day. Ugh! Good luck!!
Back when I changed my name there was a new parent who delivered their baby at home, so he had a tough time with his two different forms needed to prove identity. Hopefully the birth certificate comes quickly, then I plan on calling SS to verify all my documents and see if there is anything else I need before I drive 4 hours to their office.
Pet peeve is that some friends had a baby here five weeks after us and they already received their SSN.
Just an FYI- if you have four kids and 'just stop by' people will wish you would have called.
Oh- cereal for dinner isn't a bad thing- it's totally fortified with vitamins and minerals. ;)
