Valentine Ideas Anyone?

I received this valentine filled with homemade cookies from Brien in 2005.

Brien is always quite thoughtful, not just at holidays, but everyday. With a week to prepare for Valentine's day I am having trouble deciding what to make and do for him. I feel the pressure to do something really great since I now stay at home. Are you also trying to come up with some ideas? I can't be too specific on this blog, because Brien reads it, but I will say that I have been on Martha Stewart's website looking at Valentine ideas. There are some cute ideas, my biggest problem is making up my mind and sticking with it.

So if you have a website that is giving you inspiration for this holiday, please share! I also have my anniversary coming up later this month, so I need all the ideas I can get.

Isn't she a cute baby? I could just squeeze her to pieces. The picture is from this morning when she was going down for her after-breakfast nap. Zarina is just now waking up from this nap, so I need to give her some attention before her "goos" turn fussy.

Since our anniversary is also in the same month as Valentine's Day, we mostly just celebrate our anniversary.
I am making red velvet cake or cupcakes and some sort of Greek dinner. I bought Hummus anyways.

I figure it's nice to make the day special for the girls since they don't get flowers/ a gift or go out to eat on our anniversary.

I think photo books are always a nice and personal gift. The website shutterfly.com has really cute books and they are pretty inexpensive, like $20-$30. I have to figure out what I'm gonna do too.

Hey Andrea, I posted some ideas that I found on the internet on my blog! I need help too, so hopefully between our 2 blogs, we can come up with things to do!

Zarina is a doll! I love the picture of her sucking her finger!

I don't know. We usually do Valentines (at least the actual day) as a family thing. I make a fancy dinner that we eat by candle light on fancy dishes, we have chocolate fondue for dessert and make and exchange valentines. Steve usually brings me flowers and we'll go out the week before or the week after but other then that we don't really do gifts. We're lame like that.
