When Brien came home Friday afternoon and said, "I rented The Invasion!" I was not so enthusiastic. I didn't know what movie he was talking about, even when he said it was based on The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, I continued to draw a blank about what movie this was. As the movie began I realized I had heard of this film, but I never had a desire to see it. (Remember Ely only has one movie theater and it only shows one movie at a time, so we don't get many films out here.)
That being said, I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it had good camera angles. It created a feeling of suspense and you felt involved with the characters. There were a few predictable parts, but it's worth watching. While this wasn't the greatest movie of all time I would give it a solid "B" rating.

Back in December Brien brought Stardust home from the Redbox, this was one that he wanted to rent, but I would see a different movie to rent, so he finally got it when I wasn't with him (The trailers for this particular movie pulled me back and forth, creating an indifferent attitude.)
This movie is wonderful! It is a fun fantasy with a different twist. So many romantic/fantasy films are simply a retelling of Cinderella, but this story is unique. A star falls from the sky and is being followed by a variety of characters who are after her heart. It's an enjoyable and entertaining journey. I would be willing to buy Stardust. The movie website is worth checking out as well. I give it an "A."

I've been dying to see "Stardust" forever! We didn't make it to the theatre when it was playing. That's it...I'm making Adam rent it for me this weekend.
