So, one of my resolutions is to blog everyday this year! Not really, but you could hope for more than my bi-weekly updates. We spent New Year's in Henderson with my parents. Zarina enjoyed climbing up and down their stairs. She didn't fall down the stairs until we were about to leave. I was walking toward the staircase so I could grab her for a diaper change and her foot must have slipped because she was suddenly rolling down the stairs. When I caught her she had only gone down about fours steps. It was a traumatic experience for the poor baby. She was tired, so that made the scare even harder to get over. (She was so tired that, after we calmed her down, when Brien was changing her diaper she practically fell asleep.)
We used some of our Christmas money to purchase a wireless router. It's so nice not to have a network cable laying across the living room floor, tempting Zarina to act like it's a feather boa. I think I will enjoy getting more use out of my laptop. Now we just need to set up networking capabilities and I will be completely happy. (Brien will be happy if he can get the internet to stay connected to his laptop. Right now his connection is a little spotty at best.)
I haven't fully decided on my new year's resolutions yet. I have typical fall backs of trying to be healthier and get more organized. I did have a salad for dinner (at the Windmill Ridge in Alamo, NV. The food was a good, not extraordinary, value. You should at least stop by for a $0.75 cookie when you drive by.) Although I have not yet had an opportunity to work on my personal organization hopes, Brien and I were able to organize part of my mother's sewing room (aka - Cave of Wonders, named by us a few years ago and the name stuck). It felt very satisfying to help her continue with one of her goals. It's the least I can do for the woman who birthed and raised me (no slight is intended towards my dad).
Families are wonderful. It was great to see most of my siblings (I miss you Scott and Fallon). I love to help all of them any way I can.
