Putting my House in Order

Just to make sure we're all on the same page.

Baby girl Park is due Oct. 19th - two weeks from now. The doctor decided that this was the earliest of the different due dates so she would use this one to determine when I'm overdue and would therefore induce labor about 5 days later.

We've decided to name her Zarina Marie Park. We'll have to wait until the birth to see if it sticks. Whenever someone asks about a name this is what we tell them. As mentioned previously Brien has a very difficult time agreeing to a name. Fortunately for Zarina she's the only one we know and we've never had a bad experience with her.

My last day of work is Oct. 12th, let's see if I make it that long. I've been taking it easy so I don't go into labor. Brien has forbidden me to take any walks. There are a few things that Brien needs to finish at the house first so that we have space for the 3 of us. Today he refinished the floors in the baby's room, so in a few days we will move her dresser out of the kitchen and the chair that is blocking the hallway will go back in her room.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. She will be checking my cervix (yipee!). (Brien is missing the appointment because he's going on a one day trip to SLC with a friend to pick up a few home improvement things and I have to decide if there's anything else we need.) This will be the first doctor's appointment that he has missed, and since it's nothing fun he's okay with that. Last week they hooked me up to the heart monitor for 20 minutes and I pushed a button when I felt the baby move. Brien tried to "help" me by poking my belly. He only succeeded in making me laugh and then the machine couldn't read the heartbeat.

I am now giving Lacey official permission to announce the baby on her blog (of our siblings she posts the most regularly) really anyone else can post a birth announcement too. Brien will likely send out an e-mail with a photo and I think he has Lacey's address so she could actually post a picture. I know I have throngs of silent admirers, bloiters, out there who just don't ever post a single comment because they just don't know what to say. You can always start with a simple "hello."

Sure, Brien has to go to SLC for the first appointment where a hand is placed in your va-jay-jay.
(It's totally weired the first time.)

I'm flattered that my consistent blogging has granted me to be the announcer of Zarina's birth.
Really, I am so happy to be able to spill the amniotic fluid to to people.

I love you. I can't wait to hear how everything goes.
I'm so excited to have another baby coming into the family and I can't wait to visit and see her!

By the way when are you doing the blessing?

Um, I would like to say I spelled weird wrong.
I'm a total nerd.

That's really cool that you're planning on naming her Zarina. Does our friend Zarina know that she's going to have a girl to carry on her name? I would think that was so cool if someone named their baby after me!

I can't wait to hear when she arrives. You and Melissa are in a race. We'll see who gets to "finish" first :)

Is it really that close? And I'll be out of the country and will miss the announcement (not that I ever read your sister Lacey's blog...). I am so excited for you and Brien! You're going to be great parents.

I plan on posting a comment here to let Andrea's readers know when it happens.

I love that Lacey comes back just to read other people's comments on my blog and respond to them.

We thought we would do the blessing on Dec. 2nd. At least that's what I told Carolyn and she told Derek to request it off.

Really I was waiting for your reply of when the blessing will be and I thought that I'd clarify how your readers could find out without having to go to my blog everyday.
Now we'll have to save for traveling out there and a hotel.
Too bad Carolyn and Derek are going, though I am happy they're both able to go, it takes away our traveling buddy and company for the girls.
Walking and other recreational activities help get the labor process going in these last moments, but if the baby hasn't dropped I'd stick to walking.

I read all the time, I just usually don't remember my login for my blogspot. I am excited for my brother to be a daddy, he will be so great with a little girl. I hope you are feeling as good as can be expected, I am glad it's you and not me!!!
