I'm getting old

I just had to say that tomorrow is birthday time, and I turn 30!?!?! It just seems so crazy!

The baby hasn't dropped yet. My doctor fully expects me to still be pregnant for my next appointment on Friday. I do plan on starting my walks back up this week. Let's see if gravity can help me along. If you want TMI - my cervix is tilted backwards a bit and baby's head was in the wrong place for the doctor to check my cervix. She (doctor) told me that she tried to push Z's head out of the way, but she was content to float around in the same spot. Baby is spending lots of time up in my ribs. It limits my food intake, and even with small meals I feel as though I have food stuck in the bottom of my throat. Oh the joys of pregnancy! At least I was/am one of those pregnant ladies that glow! I lost my glow completely a few weeks ago, but it returned after a few days.

Good news, my big swollen nose, it's going down! Sometimes it still looks big in the morning, but this evening it looked almost normal sized.

Brien spent today cooking for my birthday gathering tomorrow evening. He made pumpkin soup and he used our specialty pans to make the great pumpkin cake (3-d pumpkin) in chocolate and the smaller pumpkin patch cakes with a pumpkin spice cake recipe that came with the pan. I will take some pictures of it tomorrow after the cakes are decorated. He also made dinner tonight so I could pay/schedule payment for the bills for the month. That way I don't freak out about the mortgage payment in the middle of my labor pains.

On a final note, we had the first good snowfall on Friday night. We had a few flurries back in September, but nothing that stuck. It took Brien an extra 60-90 minutes to get back from UT because of the bad weather. He went with his coworker, Dave, and Dave's wife Emily is due about 6 weeks after me so they did some baby shopping while they were there. Brien purchased some great items, like a furry, lime green vest. It makes me smile. He's great!
