Happy Easter, but this isn't about Easter

I needed to share. This past Tuesday our snow was finally melted, except for a 2'x8' ( ' = foot, right?) area in front of out house. About a dozen of our crocuses had bloomed, and I thought, "They look so nice, I should take a picture and share the excitement of Spring!" So now you may be wondering, "Um, Andrea, where's the dorky flower picture?" Well, I woke up Wednesday and it was snowing. I think it was only 4-6 inches, but it was enough to completely cover up my little flowers, and also my beloved tulip leaves. Not much snow melted over the last few days (random sidenote, my turkey isn't thawing very well either) and as I type there are 5 fresh inches and more is still coming down. (GIANT SIGH) I'm completely done with winter. I was so happy to have my yard back for a few days. As previously mentioned I have tulips trying to grow. I've wanted tulips since my mission. So many people up in Maine and New Hampshire had beautiful gardens, the kind that could never grow in Las Vegas. In Ely there is the hope of growing a few of these wonderful flowers, if the weather would just cooperate.

I hope you are all enjoying your Easter holiday. I'm enjoying the time with my family. Since this is a General Conference weekend (instead of attending church we have a broadcast to watch the first weekend in April and October) it is extra uplifting for me versus a regular church Sunday Easter.

I'm over winter, too. So I spent conference weekend in St. George. It was nice and sunny. Jealous?

YES, I'm jealous! Easter Sunday we were discussing that we should have gone out of town. I'm likely headed to St. George for our youth temple trip this Saturday.

I wanted to see a picture...too bad. Did the snow kill them? Or shrivel them? See I don't even know what flowers would do in the snow....
