This was my first visit to the park. Brien worked there for a few summers. (Ranger Park the Park Ranger.) I loved it. The scenery is beautiful and I could see why Brien was eager to return.

There weren't many babies there. Lots of people would point and talk when they saw us.

One of the hikes we went on was the Bristlecone Loop. When I think of Bristlecone I always think of the old trees that are twisted and have hardly any needles left. It was different to see the young, straight trees.

Zarina fell asleep on the Navajo Loop Trail, so we cushioned her head with a blanket. The hoodoo in the background is Thor's Hammer. It's interesting to note that this picture was taken by a Frenchman who didn't speak English. He didn't know that we spoke French, so he used gestures (without saying anything) to indicate he would take a picture of the three of us. Brien didn't understand the man's gestures at first, but after a moment they understood each other.

Poor baby, her hat would fall down and cover her face. We had to use it though because it has a chin strap. On the rim the winds rush at you and it's easy to lose your headwear.

On the rim.
Looking up at Brien and the baby. Those switchbacks can be killer.
Cute baby at dinner. We lost her cool shark bib when we were leaving and it didn't get turned in to the lost and found. Thankfully, it's part of a three-pack. I love these bibs, the velcro is strong, the shoulders are wide, and they are longer than the other bibs. We'll have to buy the "girl set" of the bibs next time we are by a Target.

We also visited Cedar Breaks National Park on our way back to Cedar City. We went on a short hike there so we could get Zarina another pin to add to her carrier.

Looks like a lot of fun!! Boy is Zarina getting big, how cute :) When we went down, about 5 years ago, we stayed in the same cabin. Isn't it a fun little cabin. See you in a couple of weeks (camping). Take care
Love the beautiful pictures of Bryce and your family!
The pictures are great and I loved that you ran into a Frenchman.
I bought a lawn chair for the girls at Target today and they can't wait to go camping.
I'm going whether or not Jon comes and I will enjoy it, most of the time, I think.
Bryce Canyon is beautiful. I can't believe I've never been there. I think I need to go. Zarina is such a cutie. I'm glad we got to play yesterday. We love to get together ANYTIME--I'm so glad you came over. We're all good for this weekend and Bryce can hardly wait to hang out with Zarina again. I hope Zarina is okay with that. :)

So the picture of you looking up at Brien I thought was a woman with large ... you know what I mean.
Nice place I would vist Bryce Canyon ,but I didn't see any hotels for Derek.
Carolyn, they have a lodge (hotel with no TV's) and full cabins right in the park. Just a few miles from the entrance there's a hotel, and I'm pretty sure it has television.
Those are some really great Bryce pictures, Andrea. Looks like a blast.
