Anyways I've been working like crazy on crafts lately. The quilt top is complete!
I added the sash and "piano keys" at either end to make it a bit longer so it would fit better on a twin sized bed. The backing is in the dryer right now and I hope to baste the quilt tomorrow. (Basting is when you pin or loosely sew the back, batting and top together to prepare it for quilting. You have to do this over the entire quilt, so it can take a little while.) I will be hand quilting it on a nifty little frame that I bought for my mom at a garage sale for $5. It's retail value was $80, so I was happy. My mom received an awesome jumbo frame from my dad, so I've inherited the cube. (When she dies maybe I'll get the big frame.) I want to set the quilt up and get started this weekend. Perhaps in the future I'll invest in the right feet for my machine so I can quilt with it.Anyways, enter the contest.

What a beautiful quilt! I so admire anyone who has the talent to sew. Do you sew other things too?
Also, I just noticed that you left a comment on my blog about the plate. They have some of them on sale on their site and I think most of the others are around $16, which isn't too bad. Here's the link, if you're interested:
