17-25-16

We took Zarina in yesterday for her shots and check-up.

head: 17 in. (50-75th percentile)

lenght: 25 in. (10-25th percentile)

weight: 16 lbs. (25-50th percentile)

Her morning nap was cut short, so she was a bit tired to be at the doctor's office. She behaved perfectly and didn't show any crankiness. Brien had come with me, I think he was present for her first immu's, but he hasn't been able to make it since. Zarina cried with her shots (it's to be expected), but I think Brien felt the pain more. I must be getting cold hearted, I did try to comfort her and give her extra love, but Brien felt soooo bad for her. He made me slow down so he could also hold and love her before we left the doctor's office. He is so sweet with Zarina. You can tell that she has him wrapped around her chubby little finger.

Funny thing she has started in the last few weeks: scooting on her back. She'll do this on the floor and in her crib. In fact, the other morning she woke us up at 5am because her head was jammed in the corner of her crib. She had moved almost 2 feet from where we laid her down to go to sleep.

Sidenote: my in-laws are coming to visit for Brien's (and Dennis's) birthday. I love them, so this isn't a bad thing. I just need to straighten up the house, and try to get my vacuum out from it's burial site so I can use it. Initially we thought they would show up late tonight, but they are actually going to be here in time for dinner. We pulled out some steaks, but Brien elected to work down south today, so he will be home late and therefore can't offer any help. I have wasted my morning, and am now regretting my decision to watch TV and doze on the couch (I just feel sooo tired).

I need to clean:
living room
baby's room
kitchen
bathroom

do:
laundry
dishes

make:
a cake (the cake is a mix, but the frosting and filling are homemade, we're going lemon all the way, yum!)

and if there is time I should move one of the spare kitchen tables down to the cellar (it's taken apart, so it should be easy.)

Why did Brien decide to work all day today? Technically only needed to work 2 hours.

Addy does the scooting thing also. The other day I laid her on a blanket on the floor and she scooted herself all the way under a chair. Funny little babies!

Did you get it all done in time?

I have deadlines to meet. Anyways, birthdays are not that great after 30. I am just another old man.
andrea's lemon cake was very polygonal and tasted great.

Sounds like a lot of stuff to do. After talking to my parents, the trip sounded fun. Zarina is getting so big. It's amazing how fast they grow and develop.
