My friend had a brief post about someone backing into her car at a parking lot. That made me think of my experiences with parking lot accidents.
Shortly after buying my Galant I received a driver's side door dent. It left red paint, I had parked next to a red truck as I briefly went into a shop at a strip mall. I also have a dent in the hood of my car. It happened at the Magic Mountain parking lot. I assume it was a trailer hitch that did the damage. Then there is a slight dent in the front passenger's door. I think that happened in the UNLV staff parking lot; it was an unknown perpetrator. (Someone else in little Frazier Hall was backed into once and she sent out an email to the office staff asking whoever it was to be honest and 'fess up to the damage. Ridiculous because anybody could be parked next to you. I did not assume that a coworker caused damage to my car.)
I can't complain too much though. Once when I was 18, shortly after I got my license I caught someone's bumper with my bumper. I did look and didn't notice any damage, so I didn't leave a note. I was terrified that my dad wouldn't let me drive anymore. It makes me wonder if that person noticed something different about their car. I feel bad now that I didn't do the right thing.
This makes me think of the Primtime: What Would You do? series that has been on the air lately.
So this begs the question, what did you do that you regret? Or have you been in a situation where you had to stand up for what was right?
