Let them eat ...

...rice cereal.

Yesterday we took our first stab at feeding the baby her cereal. It was more successful than we thought it would be. We just fed her until she lost patience with the process. We are fairly confident that a small amount made it's way down into her tummy.

We also returned from Winnemucca yesterday. The first night in the hotel our sweet baby, who hasn't woken us up in the middle of the night since the end of December, decided that she

1. preferred crying to going to sleep (this happened at 10:30pm)
and
2. woke up crying for a brief stint at 1am.

I felt bad for the people in the rooms next to us. The other 2 nights were uneventful, and therefore normal.

In the hotel room with my slightly grumpy baby (meaning Zarina).

I remember feeding maddy for the first time with a spoon. She hated it! Cute pictures of the baby.

I don't know if this would help y'all, but I'll just put it out there. When we went to strange places with our babies, we would drape a sheet over the playpen that they slept in. The sheet over their improvised crib seemed to help them block out the overly stimulating sights and sounds of the new place.

Jon, that's a good suggestion. I will have to try that on our next trip (it's coming up in a couple of weeks).

how cute, look at you not feeding your sweet baby with a spoon as big as her head, what good parents you are!
I am sure she will sleep very well at grandma & grandpa Park's house, cuz it's grandma and grandpa's!
kiss the baby, (both of them)!

I love Zarina's face in the second picture! She is looking at the spoon like, "Just what are you trying to put in my mouth?!"

Karen always hated rice cereal no matter how I tried to disguise it! You're lucky Zarina would take it!
