No this isn't about politics. I don't really share political views on my blog, maybe someday, but not yet.
This summer I found myself spending too much time on the computer and watching TV, and not enough time unplugged. Ironically, I never got around to changing the winter background theme on my blog. I haven't updated the sidebar of blogs I read in a very long time. Bloglines is my blog reader feed, and it's going down November 1st. Although I haven't done much updating on my blog I do read other blogs almost daily, and comment infrequently.
When I "follow" a blog through blogger, I don't like how there is a list of posts in a little screen on my dashboard. How do you follow the blogs you read? Bloglines had plenty of faults and bugs, but it worked for the most part. I was so happy Wednesday when I saw that they were extending the shutdown deadline from Oct. 1st to Nov. My procrastinating self was granted an extra month of time, and I've decided to try to use it wisely. While I've decided that Facebook is a giant time-sucking wasteland, I do enjoy blogs and want to keep up with them. (I would be sad if I lost my blog links, but it wouldn't break my heart to be shut out of Facebook).

I love that you have a snowflake background but the Weatherbug temperature is 86 degrees. Oh the irony!
I use (and frankly love) Google Reader. It's nice because it's already tied into my Gmail/Google/blogger account so I only have to remember one login and password. I've never used Bloglines or any other feed reader, so I'm not sure how it compares but I've never really had any complaints with Google Reader.
I also use google reader. I've used it from the very beginning and don't have any complaints
Third vote for Google Reader.
Adam and I only use Google Reader.
I sense a theme coming on! :)
I switched from bloglines to googlereader shortly after it came out. I was sad to leave bloglines behind, but reader has worked wonderfully. You will need a gmail account though.
