So I have Disneyland pictures to share from May, and I was at Girl's Camp last week, but this is about a funny conversation I had with Zarina this morning.
Sitting at the table, eating breakfast I said, "So, guess what fun place we're going this morning."
"We go someplace fun?"
"Yes. Do you want a hint?"
"No." After a moments thought, "I have Mickey Mouse ears. Mom and dad don't have Mickey Mouse ears. I get some for them."
"Good guess, Zarina, but we are not going to Disneyland this morning." (You have to love that the little manipulator made Disneyland something to do for mom and dad.)
She thinks a few seconds longer and then says, full of hope, "I want a big brother, or a little brother."
"No, Zarina, you aren't getting a brother today, or anytime soon."
Finally, after a few hints and leading statements she figured out that we were going to story hour at the "yiberry." She loves Miss Hillary and story hour, but it wasn't scheduled for the last 3 weeks. It's not as exciting as what Zarina wanted, but she easily consoled with the promise of library books.
