Get Ready, Get Set

We are heading to Disneyland very soon. It was decided that on Sunday we'll drive into California early enough to go to the beach. Brien has been looking at areas with tidal pools, since we aren't planning on going swimming. I think Taco Surf is where he was wanting to eat dinner, it was bookmarked on my computer. When we ask Zarina "Where are we going?" she likes to reply "Disneyland!" even when the real answer is "the store" or "grandma's house." She'll also tell you that she's going on the "Pooh ride." It's not that she's even seen a Winnie the Pooh show, but it's the ride Brien mentioned to her. Since we are staying close to the park we've discussed walking closer so we can watch the fireworks on Sunday night. Monday, the day at the park, the hours are only 10am-8pm. We were disappointed that they are closing early, but figure that it will keep us from overdoing it and having an ultra-cranky toddler at the end of the day.

I feel like I've shared lots of this information before. Total deja-vu. Anyways, if any of you have suggestions on where to eat (do you know if Taco Surf is any good?) or what you think we should check out on our beach afternoon let us know.

We plan on renting one of Disneyland's comfy strollers for Zarina to ride in, and to save our backs since the umbrella stroller would be killer to push around all day. We plan on riding as many rides as we can with Zarina and using some of the shows and "sit-down" attractions as breaks when Zarina needs them. If you have any toddler suggestions feel free to toss them out to us. Currently Zarina doesn't nap everyday, so we are hoping to avoid any meltdowns due to lack of naps.

Go to Toon Town first. You get to meet mickey and minnie at their houses and it's a fun place to let toddlers run around. Brad and I thought the winnie the pooh ride was a little tricked out, like you were on acid or something, but it was still a cute little ride.
Also, if Zarina tends to get scared, I would avoid rides like Snow White and Mr. Toads.

I was going to say to definitely give Z a chance to take naps in the afternoon. My niece was about Z's age when we went to Disney World and despite advance planning, Liv had meltdowns. Every. Single. Day. I think you could hear her screams across whatever park we happened to be at. It was oh-so-fun.
