Just an update, the snow boots didn't show up on the 31st, and we are hoping to go snow shoeing tomorrow and pull Z along on a sled. She should stay warm enough though. I'm a little disappointed.
I've mentioned before that I'm responsible for taking care of the finances in our household. I have to say that I think I do a pretty good job. Brien will tell you that it's much better that I pay the bills, because he has no concept of budgeting. I've become tired and frustrated with my current method of tracking finances; I made up a spreadsheet in Excel and it's just not cutting it for me anymore.
I decided that my end-of-the year bonus as family accountant would be to get Quicken Deluxe (from Costco on-line). It's on its way here, and I am so excited. If you had told me when I was 15 that I would someday be looking forward to getting new personal finance software, I would have thought you were crazy. Isn't it funny how as we get older boring things become exciting? I can feel quite passionate about medical benefits, and filing my own itemized tax return is thrilling. Isn't that strange?

Being money organized is wonderful. We have a hard time sometimes, like when Jon's not doing it and we spend more than we should. Hopefully our big expenses are behind us with the holidays being over.
Way to go, Andrea. That's great. How was snow shoeing? You are welcome to use the boots anytime. I thought we'd get two years out of our boots, too, but we weren't so lucky. Really, you are welcome to use them. We have more clothes for Zarina. :)
I'm glad you guys had a fun Christmas. Happy New Year! I'm confident that soon I'll be back to the land of the living and we'll have to get together.
