Since I'm feeling hugely pregnant I've been letting Brien pick up some of my slack. He's been great about it. Last night I was making a car seat canopy, so he got Zarina ready for bed. She joined me in the kitchen for a few minutes and I heard an unfamiliar buzzing sound coming from the other room.
"Zarina, go see what your dad's doing?"
She returns to tell me, "He's scraping the "owies" (sp?) off his face."
"Oh, you mean he's shaving his whiskers."
"Yeah. When I was a little girl I would kiss him and his face would poke me."
I love when she says "When I was a little girl..." She has been using this phrase quite often the last few months.
And how do you spell "owie"? Rhymes with Howie, and is another word for boo boo? I really can't figure it out right now.
I will now leave you and hem my fabulous cotton fabric (orange and off-white floral print, sorry I can't find it at joann.com to show you) with fat brown rick-rack. Creating a most fabulous and unique receiving blanket for my little girl who will hopefully arrive in the next 3 weeks. (Remember the due date is April 2nd.)

And will you be posting photos of your finished product?
I would spell owie just as you did. Even if that's wrong, in context it makes sense.
Somehow I didn't remember at all that you were pregnant. That's crazy that our due dates are so close again! I hope that all is going well with you. I'm sure that you're feeling as big and uncomfortable as I am!
Finished product being the baby or the carseat cover?
I would prefer to see both please.
I believe it is indeed spelled "OWIE". Starts with an "O" because it is derived from OUCH. "WIE" because that's what comes out of your mouth when it happens.
Would you please blog about your new baby. I would like to see photos.
I'm with Danelle. We obviously know you had your baby since there's no possible way to be pregnant two extra months :) I want to know when you had her and what her name is! (And congrats!!)
